    Recently Released Prevention Guidelines

     

    Heart Clinic of Louisiana is dedicated to the continued education of our patients by providing focused updates on various disease processes.

    This month Dr. Frederick Kushners discusses the recently released Cardiovascular Prevention Guidelines formulated by the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology. The new guidelines are a set of recommendations to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke through moderate exercise and a healthy diet.     Dr. Kushner serves on the Science Board to the FDA and was a member of the Task Force for Practice Guidelines and Vice Chair of the guideline for the management of heart attacks of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
